Must stop when in Portland. This lady is amazing and the food is top-tier. Can't wait to visit Portland again just to get these noodles.

When visiting PDX over the years , I always wanted to try Stretch the Noodle but could never catch them. Their hours are M-F. I was finally able to try them this year and every time I ate the noodles my husband brought them to me and they were cold but so delicious. This visit I tried them fresh and hot and omg they are even better hot and fresh. The man taking the orders was friendly and offered us some more to go containers for sharing. The lady is right there hand "stretching " the noodles. Doesn't get any better than that. We had the chow mian with tofu x2 and a Biang Biang beware anything beyond mild is fairly spicy we had a medium spice and that was pretty spicy and I enjoy spicy food. I personally do not like sitting at this pod because of the birds but they had a good performer singing and playing the bass I think.

I visited Stretch the Noodle not too long ago and grabbed the Biang Biang Noodles. The portion size is quite large with a ton of chili oil. For the price, it was definitely worth it as it feeds about 2-3 adults. The service is great and there's just something about the ambiance of waiting in the cold for a delicious meal. :) Would definitely recommend for any one in downtown Portland!

stopped by for a late lunch on a Friday. Went with #1 la mian, medium spice level. Great portion for the price. The noodles had a good chew to them, soup was really flavorful. Beef was tender, and there were bean sprouts (and I think mushrooms). I'd come back and try additional menu items.

I had a strong craving for spicy, hand-pulled noodles, so Stretch the Noodle was my first stop after landing in Portland. Stretch that Noodle is located in a beer garden / food truck park with lots of delicious-sounding food options, but I knew exactly what I was looking for. When I arrived at lunchtime, there wasn't a line to order, but the wait for the noodles was nearly 20 minutes - probably because each meal is hand-pulled to order. Once I picked up my food, I grabbed a seat at the picnic tables in the center. The noodles tasted super fresh and perfectly chewy, and the sauce packed a punch that balanced heat and tanginess. I'd definitely order these noodles again - or try one of their other menu items.
